The Problem

Many government school buildings in Uttarakhand, built many decades ago, are now deemed “unsafe for usage” and face heavy seepage.

AITYS visits have revealed serious hazards, including snakes entering classrooms, inadequate roofing and foundations, missing windows, water leakage, and insufficient furniture and plumbing. School principals have requested support to restore safe and habitable learning environments for their children.

Our Solution

Through this initiative, AITYS aims to upgrade rural school facilities, ensuring safe and comfortable learning spaces similar to those in urban schools.

Our work includes constructing new classrooms, repairing existing ones, refurbishing furniture, and more. Specific needs may vary by school, but the goal is to make education safe, engaging, and accessible for every child.
